Ofsted and Section 48 (SIAMS) Inspections

Ofsted Inspections - Ofsted is the Office for Standards in Education, Children’s Services and Skills. They report directly to Parliament and are independent and impartial. The aim of their work is to promote improvement and value for money in the services inspected and regulated, so that children and young people, parents and carers, adult learners and employers benefit.

We are proud to advise that the outcome of our latest Section 5 inspection in November 2023,  was -  This school continues to be good in all areas. Ofsted commented that  'The school’s motto, ‘Let your light shine’, is lived out by pupils and staff at the school. Staff, and parents and carers, say that the school has a ‘real family feel’, where everyone is warmly welcomed. Pupils say they are happy to be part of such a special place. Parents are overwhelmingly positive about the school.'

Section 48 Inspections - All Church of England dioceses use the National Society's framework for the Statutory Inspection of Anglican and Methodist Schools (SIAMS) under Section 48 of the Education Act 2005. The principal objective of SIAMS inspection is to evaluate the distinctiveness and effectiveness of the school as a church school and  the effect that the Christian ethos of the church school has on the children and young people who attend it.
